What Information Do I Need to Book a Grooming Session?
To book with Silver Collar Pet Spa, simply provide your pet’s details, a credit or debit card to confirm the appointment, and choose a date and time that suits you. Payment is only processed after the grooming session. You can review the final amount with your groomer and add a tip if desired—then you’re all set!
How Long Until I Can Get A Session?
We can usually book your session within days. However, there are times during the year which become very busy and it is recommended to schedule as far as 1 or 2 weeks ahead by using our online booking system on our web site or by giving us a call.
How Long Does a Grooming Session Take?
A typical grooming session with Silver Collar Pet Spa lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your pet’s size, coat condition, and grooming needs. Full grooms generally take 1-2 hours, while a bath and tidy service is about 1-1.5 hours. Our first visit may take a little longer as we get to know your pet and their specific needs. Larger or more hairy pets may require additional time to ensure they receive the best care.
Do You Need to Use My Electricity or Hose?
No, at Silver Collar Pet Spa, our mobile grooming units are fully self-sufficient. Each vehicle is equipped with its own freshwater reservoir and onboard power system, so there’s no need to use your electricity or water supply. Why Can’t I Watch My Pet Being Groomed?
As much as we’d love for you to watch, we’ve found that in the mobile setting, pets can become overly excited or even protective when they see their owners, especially since we are on your property. Our top priority is keeping your pet safe, calm, and focused during the grooming session. Building trust with your pet is essential, and this process works best when they are relaxed with just the groomer. However, if we feel your presence would benefit your pet, we’ll gladly invite you to join us. You’re also welcome to tour our grooming van—just ask, and we’ll arrange it. We’re always available by phone or text, and we’d be happy to send photos of your pet during the grooming process.
How Often Should My Pet Be Groomed?
Every pet is unique. Our groomers will assess your dog’s unique skin and coat and recommend a schedule for you.
What is Your Cancellation Process & Fee?
At Silver Collar Pet Spa, we understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel your grooming session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or if you're not present at the scheduled location will incur a $50 cancellation fee. This helps us accommodate other clients and ensures efficient scheduling. We appreciate your understanding!
